The Opulence is the only mattress in the Luxe Collection to layer four distinct natural fibres — cashmere, alpaca, bamboo, and mulberry silk — across a triple-nested spring architecture, producing a sleep surface that is simultaneously soft and thermally precise. The design draws from a sequence of fillings from the outside in, with moisture-wicking mulberry silk and bamboo near the ticking to carry heat away, followed by a loft-rich blend of cashmere and alpaca for conforming comfort, and a resilient Moosburger® horsetail layer to maintain support under pressure. Real Shetland Wool and cotton are layered deeper on both sides of the spring unit to add thermal mass and absorb movement before it travels, while hand-tufting and hand-stitching secure the upholstery for lasting structure and motion isolation across the bed. The mattress features a three-layer hand-nested calico pocket spring system with 3,366 independently responding springs in a King size, enabling precise mapping to the body’s contours without transferring motion. Five rows of hand side-stitching along the border reinforce edge support, and the luxurious ensemble is finished with woollen tufts and twine to prevent filler migration over time. Accompanying divan construction uses a solid timber frame and a two-layer hand-nested pocket spring core, finished with high-quality ticking or upholstery fabric. Available heights include a taller Statesman and a slimmer option, both designed to deliver a balanced mix of soft initial give and enduring support.
